4 Alaskans in NCAA tournament action this weekend

Four Alaskans continue quests for national championships this weekend in NCAA tournament pucks.

Kaitlyn Harding of Anchorage, a junior forward for the Wisconsin women, gets a shot at a national title game when the Badgers play host Minnesota on Friday in a national semifinal. Harding owns 0-2--2 totals in 24 games and 4-6--10 totals in 92 career games.

In Division III men's quarterfinal action, Ryan Cole and Brandon Cole of Anchorage, are sophomore forwards for Trinity. The Bantams -- trippy old-school-sounding nickname -- play at Plattsburgh State in New York on Saturday. Ryan Cole leads the team in scoring with 15-21--36 totals in 26 games, and in 52 career games has racked 34-50--84 totals. Brandon has two helpers in 19 games this season.

Also in quarterfinal action is Anchorage defenseman Trace Strahle, a sophomore for Wisconsin-Stevens Point, which entertains Hamline. Strahle owns 2-9--11 totals in 28 matches.
