Police have identified a man shot to death in Fairview early Friday morning as Abraham Midgett III, age 54.
Police received a call around 4 a.m. Friday reporting gunfire in the area of 12th Avenue and Hyder Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Midgett unconscious in the parking lot of Alexander's Body Shop. He later died at an area hospital.
In a statement Monday morning, police said no arrests have been made or charges filed in the shooting, Anchorage's ninth homicide this year.
