Troopers: Palmer Woman killed in Old Glenn rollover accident

A 35-year-old Palmer woman is dead after a single-vehicle rollover accident on the Old Glenn Highway Sunday night, but her 10-year-old passenger survived, Alaska State Troopers said.

The accident happened around 9 p.m. Sunday near Mile 13 of the Old Glenn Highway, when Claudia R. Jacobs lost control of a 2002 Ford Expedition while driving southbound, troopers said. The vehicle rolled multiple times.

Jacobs was pronounced dead at the scene, but a 10-year-old child was taken to the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, where the child was treated and released, troopers said.

Both Jacobs and the child were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident, according to troopers.
