Lane claims bronze to lead U14 skiers at Big Sky

Conner Lane racked up a podium finish and two skiers earned Top Charger Awards to lead a 21-skier Alaska contingent at the Intermountain Division U14 championships last weekend in Big Sky, Montana.

Lane, who trains with the Alyeska Ski Club, finished third in the boys slalom race to lead the Alaskans.

Two other Alyeska Ski Club members – Eli Seaver and Randi von Wichman -- earned Top Charger Awards in the super-G race. The awards are given to the boy and girl who move up the most from their start position.

Seaver started 87th and finished 31st in the boys race, and Wichman started 87th and finished 56th in the girls race.

The Alaska team featured 11 girls and 10 boys from the Alyeska Ski Club and Juneau Ski Club. It recorded 11 top-15 results.
