Troopers: Wasilla couple and woman arrested for heroin, meth

Alaska State Troopers say they arrested a Wasilla couple after seizing heroin and methamphetamine packaged for sale at a home Saturday.

They also arrested another woman after discovering her with drugs in the driveway, according to an online trooper dispatch posted Monday.

Patrol troopers and members of a Mat-Su Statewide Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Steven and Tina Humpreys and Nicole Cizek after they served a search warrant at the Humphreys' home, the release said.

The Humphreys were arrested on charges of second- and third-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance after troopers found heroin and meth, as well as digital scales, baggies and other "materials commonly used for distributing controlled substances," troopers said. The quantity of drugs seized was not immediately available.

Then troopers contacted Cizek in the driveway and seized heroin, two digital scales and distribution materials, they said. She was "found to be in possession" of additional meth and heroin during the booking process at Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and ultimately charged with second-, third- and fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance as well as first-degree promoting contraband.

Cizek was jailed on $10,000 bail and release to a third-party custodian, troopers say. Steven Humphreys was jailed at Mat-Su Pretrial on $10,000 bail and third-party custodian; Tina Humphreys was jailed on $5,000 bail and third-party custodian.
