An Anchorage man was killed in a car crash near Trapper Creek early Saturday, Alaska State Troopers said.
At 12:16 a.m. Saturday, Troopers received a report of a vehicle overturned on a steep embankment on Petersville Road, in Trapper Creek, 116 miles north of Anchorage.
A man's body was discovered under the vehicle. The victim was identified as Thomas Tuthill, 37, of Anchorage.
"Troopers responded to the scene and investigation revealed the vehicle had lost control on a sharp corner, veered into a group of trees, and rolled down a steep embankment," the dispatch said. Troopers said Tuthill had not been wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
His next of kin has been notified, troopers said.
