A man was shot outside his home in Anchorage's Fairview neighborhood Saturday morning, police say.
The shooting happened around 7:30 a.m. outside a home in the 1000 block of East 13th Avenue, according to the Anchorage Police Department. Police said they arrived and found a man with a gunshot wound; he was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition.
Police say they were told that the victim heard a noise outside and went out to investigate when an unknown man shot him. Police described the suspect as a black man in his early 30s and are asking anyone with information about the case to call them at 786-8900 or anchoragecrimestoppers.com.
