Troopers investigate death of 18-year-old Homer man

Alaska State Troopers said they were investigating the death of an 18-year-old Homer man found dead after police and emergency services responded to a Soldotna 911 call Friday night.

In an online dispatch, troopers wrote that a Soldotna dispatcher received a call that Devin Iredale-Sharp was unresponsive shortly before 11 p.m Friday. Iredale-Sharp was declared dead soon after 11:30 p.m. at the scene by Cooper Landing Emergency Services, troopers said.

Few details were immediately available, but troopers said they did not suspect foul play.

The State Medical Examiner Office and Iredale-Sharp's next of kin were both notified.

Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that the incident took place Sunday night, rather than Friday. The story has been updated to reflect the accurate information.
