Sheryl Loan pocketed her second straight victory to start the Arctic Bicycle Club's season with Wednesday's win in the women's open division of the Potter Valley Hill Climb.
Loan, who won Saturday's season-opening Moose Run Time Trial, clocked 10 minutes, 33.1 seconds Wednesday's 1.9-mile climb on roads that included grades as steep as eight percent. Loan topped Rebecca McKee by 40 seconds. McKee also finished runner-up in the Moose Run Time Trial.
James Stull won the men's open class in 8:27, seven seconds ahead of John Sindell and 10 seconds ahead of Jason Lamoreaux, who won Saturday's time trial.
More than 70 racers competed. Next up is Saturday's Portage Glacier Road Time Trial.
