Early morning Alaska Range quake felt from Fairbanks to Anchorage

A 4.5 magnitude earthquake in the Alaska Range early Monday morning rattled residents from Alaska's Interior to Southcentral.

The earthquake hit about about 32 miles southeast of Cantwell at 1:25 a.m, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Though the quake's epicenter was near Cantwell, a community of about 182 people about 28 miles south of Denali National Park and Preserve, it was felt 175 miles to the north in Fairbanks, and in Chugiak, Eagle River and as far away as South Anchorage, about 246 miles south.

There were no immediate reports of damage.
