Woman arrested after TVs hit with hatchet at Juneau store

Juneau police say a 33-year-old woman is under arrest after using a hatchet to smash seven flatscreen TVs at a local store.

Miranda Davison was arrested on a felony charge of criminal mischief following the vandalism Sunday at the store, which is located in the 6000 block of Glacier Highway.

Police say officers responded shortly after 6 p.m. to a report of a woman damaging merchandise at the store. Police say the woman ran off following the incident.

Officers found a woman matching the description of the suspect around the highway at Davis Avenue.

The televisions were valued at about $5,000.

Davison is being held without bail at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. It's unclear if she has an attorney.
