A 3-year-old child was killed Saturday in the Western Alaska village of Lower Kalskag when a skiff propped against a home fell on her, Alaska State Troopers said.
In an online dispatch, troopers wrote that the girl was playing on a 16-foot skiff, which was leaning on a home, when it fell over and on her.
The toddler was taken to the Lower Kalskag clinic but life-saving measures undertaken there were unsuccessful and the child was pronounced dead at 3:20 p.m., troopers said.
Troopers said they do not suspect foul play.
The toddler's body was taken to the State Medical Examiner Office for an autopsy.
