With low humidity predicted Monday, forecasters are warning Alaskans of high fire danger in a large swath of the Interior and part of Southcentral Alaska.
Red flag warnings are in effect for much of Interior Alaska -- including Fairbanks -- and the Copper River Basin until 10 p.m. Tuesday, the National Weather Service said.
According to the agency, Fairbanks is expected to see dry, warm weather with highs in the mid-'70s over the next couple of days. Forecasters expect similar conditions in surrounding communities, with the addition of strong winds in some areas.
