UAA volleyball signs middle blocker from Utah

UAA volleyball coach Chris Green on Tuesday announced the addition of Alex Garrett, a middle blocker fresh out of high school in Utah.

Garrett, who is 6-foot-1, was a Class 3A all-state selecton for Desert Hills High and averaged 12.2 kills per match while leading her team to third place in the state.

"Alex's addition gives us some much-needed depth along our front row,'' Green said in a news release. "With her length and jumping ability, she brings terrific natural assets to the court.''

Garrett is the fourth member of the Seawolves' recruiting class for the 2015 season.
