Will Ross won a four-rider sprint finish Tuesday night in Kincaid Park to seize the men's expert class title in the first mountain biking race of the Arctic Bicycle Club's Kincaid Race Series.
Ross clocked 1 hour, 6 minutes, 57.6 seconds for a three-lap race that covered about 18 miles. That gave him an edge of just .40 seconds over Jason Lamoreaux, .90 over Josh Chelf and one second over Tim Berntson.
Danelle Winn won the women's expert class, topping Megan Chelf by more than two minutes.
The race drew nearly 90 riders.
