With the Sockeye fire raging in musher country, reports are coming in of dogs and other animals dying.
If you need help, I'm told the Sockeye Willow Fire Pet and Home Resource Finder and the Chugiak Dog Mushers Association are helping pet owners find assistance.
If you'd like to donate, Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue is accepting donations, including food and supplies, at locations in Anchorage.
