Original story: The Anchorage Police Department is asking the public's help locating a suspect wanted in connection with a Monday afternoon shooting in Mountain View.

Thirty-eight-year-old Daniel Rocero is sought on an arrest warrant on charges of first, second, and third-degree assault, police said in a Tuesday morning release.

Police described Rocero as standing 6 feet, 3 inches tall, and weighing about 260 pounds, with brown eyes.

A 35-year-old man was injured in the shooting at the 800 block of Irwin Street Monday afternoon, in what police said was part of an "ongoing dispute." The man who was shot told police he was sleeping when a man went into his home, hit him in the head with a gun, and then shot him in the leg.
