Anchorage police say a bicyclist was struck by a car and injured Tuesday afternoon on O'Malley Road.
Jennifer Castro, Anchorage Police Department spokesperson, said a caller reported the crash at 1:36 p.m. near the Anchorage Golf Course. Police and medics responded, she said.
Police said the bicyclist was eastbound on O'Malley Road in an area where there are no bicycle lanes.
A sedan hit the bicyclist as the bicyclist attempted to turn left into the golf course area, police said.
The bicyclist suffered leg injuries, but they were not life-threatening, Castro said.
Police briefly diverted traffic on O'Malley Road after the accident.
