Troopers arrest man and teen in connection with Mat-Su burglary, truck fire

A vehicle stolen in a Susitna Valley burglary Tuesday was found on fire near the Knik River access area, troopers said. A 30-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy are facing charges.

Tuesday morning, troopers received a report of a burglary and theft at a Houston residence. According to a trooper dispatch, several people broke into the home and stole guns and a 1985 Chevy pickup.

Later, the truck was found on fire along the Glenn Highway.

Law enforcement arrested Robert Goff and the teen, both of Anchorage, in connection to the crime.

Goff was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree theft and first-degree vehicle theft and was taken to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility. Troopers did not specify charges against the minor but said he was taken to the Mat-Su Youth Facility.
