Anchorage police are warning residents that loud noises may be heard Thursday near 26th Avenue and Eagle Street.
Police say the department's special weapons and tactics officers will be conducting training in the area from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m.
The department says to expect loud "bangs" throughout the day.
The training is closed to reporters and the public.
