Anchorage police identify 19-year-old killed in East Anchorage

Anchorage police have identified the man killed in Monday's shooting in East Anchorage as 19-year-old Preston Junior Clark Perdomo of Anchorage.

Around 6 p.m. Monday, police dispatch got a report of shots fired on the 7800 block of Creekside Center Drive, near the intersection of DeBarr Road and Muldoon Road. Soon after, they received reports that a man was shot, police said.

A neighbor said Monday evening that after hearing the gunshots, people nearby quickly responded to a car parked outside a townhouse. They found Perdomo inside the car with the window rolled down. People attempted CPR, but Perdomo was declared dead at the scene, police said.

Jennifer Castro, police spokeswoman, said Tuesday that police were "not providing any suspect information at this time."

"We are looking to gather more information from the community on what happened and who is responsible," she said.
