Watch: Rand Paul makes campaign stop in Anchorage

Republican presidential candidate and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is kicking off his "Stand With Rand" tour of the Western United States with two campaign stops in Alaska on Tuesday.

The first stop is at 10 a.m. at the downtown Sheraton Anchorage hotel on Sixth Avenue. Paul will then travel to Fairbanks to appear at the Westmark Hotel. That event is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

Both events are open to the public.

Paul's father, Ron Paul, also appeared in Alaska during his own bid for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012. A spokesperson for the Rand Paul campaign said Monday that the trip was "absolutely capitalizing" on the groundswell of support from his father's 2012 campaign.
