Palmer ultramarathoner Shawn McTaggart finished third among women over the weekend in the Cascade Crest 100-Mile Endurance Race in Easton, Washington.
McTaggart, 38, clocked 23 hours, 47 minutes, 20 seconds, in the race that features more than 21,000 feet of elevation gain.
McTaggart in 2014 won the Resurrection Pass 100-miler and is three-time winner of the Hatcher Pass Marathon.
Alissa St. Laurent, 31, of Alberta, won the Cascade Crest 100 in 19:25.56. Marta Fisher, 40, of Oregon, was runner-up in 21:55:51.
McTaggart's third-place finish was her best placing at Cascade Crest and nearly five hours faster than her previous best in the race. She finished seventh in 2006 and ninth in 2007.
