Sarah Palin on CNN: 'We could keep that name McKinley'

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says the Mount McKinley could be retained as the name for the tallest mountain in North America.

Palin spoke in an interview aired Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union."

The former Republican vice presidential nominee was asked for her thoughts on the decision by President Barack Obama's administration to bestow the mountain's traditional Alaska Native name, Denali, on the eve of his recent visit to Alaska.

Palin said: "We could keep that name McKinley" and noted that the name of the park had been changed to Denali years ago.

She also addressed Ohio legislation that would make it illegal to terminate a pregnancy because of a Down syndrome diagnosis, presidential politics, climate change and language. Palin has a son diagnosed with Down syndrome.
