Lumen Christi earns draw

The Lumen Christi Archangels battled to a 1-1 draw with Delta Junction in a Friday coed soccer game at Kincaid Park that marked Lumen Christi's first homecoming game in school history.

Lumen Christi's Jarrett Fortune struck early in the game for his 15th goal of the season.

The Archangels maintained a 1-0 lead through 82 minutes before Raul Rivera broke loose and put a shot in the right corner of the net to tie the game.

It was the second tie of the season for Lumen Christi, which moved to 9-2-2.

Holy Rosary cruises

Senior captain Sang Nguyen scored two goals and junior goalkeeper Eric Bjelland didn't allow a goal Friday to help Holy Rosary breeze past Nenana 4-0 in a coed soccer match at Kincaid Park.

Other goals came from sophomore Jake Siebs, who notched his 16th of the season, and freshman John Latissimo as Holy Rosary improved to 7-3-1 in conference play.

The team plays twice on Saturday at Kincaid, against Tri-Valley and Cook Inlet Academy.
