Delta Junction stops Holy Rosary for coed soccer title

Delta Junction ended a dream season for Holy Rosary Academy by beating the Knights 3-0 in the championship match of the State Cup coed soccer tournament in Healy.

Delta Junction used two goals from Nathan Anderson and one from Raul Rivera to fend off the Knights, who were playing in their first title match since 2009 and their first since moving from the Christian School League and joining ASAA.

Holy Rosay won its first three games in the tournament, which serves as the state championships for coed soccer.

In other action in Healy, Lumen Christi suffered a 2-0 loss to Cook Inlet Academy to finish a 1-3 in the tournament. Lumen Christi finished 12-5-2 on the season.
