Alaska State Troopers say a Soldotna woman arrested for DUI had five children in her vehicle when she was stopped early Monday.
Troopers said in a dispatch they initially made a traffic stop on Sarah Love, 35, for an equipment violation on Kalifornsky Beach Road near its intersection with Bridge Access Road at about 1 a.m. Monday.
"The investigation revealed Love to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence with five children inside the vehicle," troopers reported. "Love was placed under arrest and remanded to (the Wildwood Pretrial Facility)."
Love was held on $3,000 bail, for one count of DUI as well as five counts of endangering the welfare of a child. She was still listed in custody at Wildwood Pretrial as of 7 a.m. Monday.
Troopers said marijuana was a contributing factor in the incident.
