Mia Keyser piled up 11 kills, 11 digs and two aces Friday to help West turn back Eagle River in a four-set CIC volleyball match at West.
Brooke Dexter and Jessica Jacobs each had three blocks for West in the 25-22, 25-14, 22-25, 25-22 victory. Dexter tallied six kills, Jacobs added five kills and two aces and Rosie Rush handed out 31 assists.
Eagle River got big games from Kaylee Barch (31 digs), Kara Viotto (12 kills, 2 aces), Paige Ardizzone (13 kills, 9 digs, 3 aces) and Paige Harder (29 assists).
Dimond 3, Chugiak 0
Cali Clark racked up 20 digs and 10 kills Friday to spark Dimond's three-set win over Chugiak in a Cook Inlet Conference volleyball match in Chugiak.
Anjoilyn Vreeland matched Clark's 20 digs and Alissa Pili contributed 11 kills for the Lynx in the 25-13, 25-18, 25-20. Madeleine Laporte added 13 assists, 10 digs and six kills.
For Chugiak, Alli Chase led the offense with five kills and six assists and Gabi Chase came through on defense with three blocks and six digs. Ashton Lekites posted a team-high 13 digs for the Mustangs.
South 3, East 0
South won a close third set to sweep East in a Cook Inlet Conference volleyball match Friday at east.
The Wolverines won 25-19, 25-18, 27-25 behind Emma Kleven's 24 assists and Nikael Taylor's five aces.
Tatum Upchurch ripped seven kills and Zoey Keene totaled eight digs for South.
East's Daisy Page has a huge night defensively with 30 digs. Celia Sheppard and Jackie Osequeda combined for 41 assists and and Kyla Liufau and Celeste Filoialli combined for 20 kills for the T-birds.
Holy Rosary sweeps
Monica Klump racked up 26 assists and two kills to fuel Holy Rosary's three-set victory over Birchwood Christian on Friday night.
Outside hitter Sarah Lucas led the Holy Rosary offense with 11 kills and Lael Droege and Julianna Biegel chipped in six apiece in the 25-12, 25-21, 25-21 win.
Birchwood was led by senior outside hitter Courtney Craig, who served six aces to go along with three kills.
