Victim of fatal Fairbanks rollover crash identified

A 36-year-old Fairbanks man who died after he was ejected from his vehicle and pinned under it in a rollover crash Sunday has been identified by Alaska State Troopers.

Troopers said in a Wednesday dispatch that next of kin for 36-year-old Christopher J. Bringhurst had been notified, following the crash on Farmers Loop Road.

Bringhurst was declared dead at the scene after troopers were called to the crash site at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Troopers closed the road for several hours to investigate the single-vehicle wreck.

Fairbanks police had said the crash was one of several over the weekend in the wake of a major snowstorm last week that blanketed the region with almost a foot of snow.
