The Alaska connections on ECHL season-opening rosters

Given the number of players from Alaska, and given the high roster turnover in the ECHL, which includes the Alaska Aces, there are three dozen Alaska-connected players on ECHL season-opening rosters. And that's not even counting the Aces.

Taking into account the 27 teams in the league other than the Aces, 22 of those clubs have at least one Alaska-connected player on the roster.

So, Aces aside -- we reported their season-opening roster on Wednesday -- here are those Alaska-connected players:

Adirondack -- Former Aces C Greg Wolfe, former Aces D David Shields.
