Fueled by champions in 10 of the 15 weight classes, the South Wolverines swamped the competition to win the Homer Rumble wrestling tournament Saturday in Homer.
South scored 267.5 points to top a nine-team field. Second place went to Homer (178.5 points) and third place went to Houston (141).
Taking individual titles for South were Spencer Martin (106 pounds), David Lincoln (113), Matt Glover (126), Greg Shack (132), Weston Martin (138), Noah Ottum (145), Rami Pellumbi (160), Ryan Bankston (182), Abraham Correa-Medina (195) and Elisha Wright (220).
At the eight-team Throwdown in Snowtown in Valdez, Colony grabbed the team title with 219 points. Wasilla was second with 169.5 and Glennallen was third with 135.5.
