One day closure for library on Thursday

The Z.J. Loussac Library will be closed on Thursday, Oct. 29, so that work can be carried out on the heating system as part of the larger library renovation project. The library will reopen with regular hours on Friday. All branch libraries will remain open as scheduled.

A longer closure of about a week will be necessary sometime this fall to create a temporary entrance during the course of construction. Originally planned for September, that part of the project was postponed when it was discovered that unanticipated modifications had to be made. Library officials expect the new entry and extensive upgrades to the facility to be completed by Dec. 31, 2016.
