South wrestlers cruise to team title at Dimond's Glenn Vandergaw tournament

Powered by victories from Scott Harris, Greg Shack and Noah Ottum, the South Wolverines rolled to the team title Saturday at the Glenn Vandergaw Invitational wrestling tournament at Dimond High.

South scored 214 points to top the nine-team field. Wasilla, led by 138-pound champion Samuel Wolff, was second with 118.5 points.

Third-place Chugiak matched South with three individual champions – Dawson Budke, Brandon Lowe and Blake Johnston.

East and Service each produce two individual champs and Eagle River had one.
