Roundup: UAF, Ice Dogs win; Brown Bears fall

Just a quick update on the non-Seawolves and non-Aces teams from Alaska.

UAF used three third-period goals Friday night to rack a 6-3 WCHA win at Alabama-Huntsville. Tyler Morley and Marcus Basara each delivered one goal and one helper, and the Nanooks converted two of three power plays.

In the NAHL, the Fairbanks Ice Dogs pushed their record to 25-5-3 with a 4-2 win at Johnstown. Their .803 winning percentage ranks second to Wichita's .809 (26-5-3). Four dudes -- Logan Coomes, Ryner Gorowsky, Tyler Tomberlin and Reggie Lutz each furnished Fairbanks one goal and one assist.

Meanwhile, the NAHL's Kenai River Brown Bears fell 7-4 on the road at Wilkes Barre/Scranton despite one goal and one helper from Justin Bofshever. Alas, the Brown Bears (1-31-1) own a winless streak that has reached 30 games (0-29-1).
