Alaska State Troopers arrested a Big Lake man they say was caught burglarizing a home Saturday evening, and attacked two of the homeowners at the scene.
Troopers said in a Sunday dispatch they arrested 25-year-old Jeremiah DeSilva after responding to a Ronnie Court residence at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
"Investigation revealed (DeSilva) had unlawfully forced entry into a residence and stole items inside," troopers wrote. "DeSilva then got into an altercation with the homeowners assaulting two of them."
Court records show DeSilva is charged with DUI, first-degree burglary and third-degree theft, as well as fourth-degree counts of misconduct involving a weapon and criminal mischief. He was also charged with two counts of fourth-degree assault.
Troopers took DeSilva to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility, where he was held on $27,500 bail.
