West soccer teams sweep Bartlett

West girls 10, Bartlett 2

Rosie Rush scored twice and Mia Kiazer demonstrated her versatility Tuesday to lead the West girls to a 10-2 win over Bartlett in a Cook Inlet Conference soccer match at The Dome.

Kiazer played goalkeeper for the first half, helping West grab a 5-1 lead. She played forward in the second half and scored a goal on a free kick.

Jack Green delivered the game-winning goal with four minutes remaining Tuesday, lifting the West boys to a 3-2 CIC soccer victory over Bartlett at The Dome.

Bartlett grabbed an early 2-0 lead. West made it 2-1 at the half on the first of two Grayson Adams goals.

Adams tied the game with a second-half goal.

Saturday games

The Service boys beat Bartlett 2-1 and the Dimond girls tripped Eagle River 9-0 in a pair of CIC soccer games Saturday at The Dome.

Service struck in the first minute with a goal from Gunner Rogers off an assist by Christoff Schiller.

Bartlett answered in the 12th minute on Lorenzo Froehle's header, and the game remained deadlocked until the final 10 minutes. Service secured the victory when Rogers scored the game-winning goal off a pass from his brother, Fisher Rogers.

In the win by the Dimond girls, Darby Judd and Malia Lykin each scored a pair of goals to lead the Lynx.

Judd scored twice in the first half and Erica Heil and Carina Kay each scored once to help Dimond to a 4-0 halftime lead.

Lykin's goals were part of a five-goal second half that also included goals by Kayleigh Hayworth, Kylie Judd and Emma Ostberg.
