Prep baseball: West whacks Wasilla, Dimond downs Bartlett

West 8, Wasilla 6

Wilton Farmwald drove in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the fifth inning and West defeated Wasilla 8-6 in a back-and-forth baseball game Friday at Bartlett.

Pitcher Sean Duffy struck out seven batters and hit a double and triple for the Eagles.

Wasilla leadoff batter Ben Werner scored two runs for the Warriors.

Both teams scored in chunks. West scored four runs in the third inning and four in the fifth.

Wasilla scored five of its six runs in the fourth inning.

Dimond 8, Bartlett 6

Tyler Orth and Jesse Boese each tallied two hits and two runs, and the Dimond baseball team beat Bartlett 8-6 Friday in a non-leauge game at Kosinski Fields.

Orth also drove in two runs and Boese snagged two stolen bases.

Dimond scored four runs in the fourth inning to take the lead for good.

Bartlett received two runs each from Seth Hanson and Chris Sereyko.
