Boniface Parkway lanes reopen at injury wreck at Northern Lights

Anchorage police say Boniface Parkway's northbound lanes have reopened, after a collision with injuries Wednesday morning that temporarily closed them at Northern Lights Boulevard.

Traffic began to flow northbound on Boniface at about 9:20 a.m. following the crash, according to police spokeswoman Anita Shell. Police initially mentioned the crash on Twitter at about 8:45 a.m.

According to police spokeswoman Jennifer Castro, the two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Boniface and Northern Lights.

"A female has been transported to a local hospital for what appears to be non-life-threatening injuries," Castro wrote. "The other driver and an occupant were not injured. We are still investigating to determine the cause of the collision."

Police had asked drivers to avoid the area as tow trucks responded to the scene and cleared the collision.
