The Spencers pile up points in orienteering meet

Bill and David Spencer combined to earn 970 points in windy conditions Tuesday night for the highest total in the Big-O Orienteering Meet at Kincaid Park.

Steve Gruhn topped men's solo racers with 760 points on a course with 29 controls, 1,100 possible points and a one-hour time limit.

Eeva Latosuo won the women's solo division with 680 points.
