Aiming to expand, Homer's Pratt Museum seeks advice

The Pratt Museum in Homer, a small Alaska city often referred to as the "end of the road," is seeking help in planning for a new museum facility, according to a press release.

Due to a lack of space, the need for a new roof, and inadequate storage space, the Pratt Museum plans to build a new facility.

The museum is asking for a broad range of opinions, everyone from regular patrons to those that have never visited are encouraged to complete an online survey. The museum writes:

The Pratt Museum is the only natural-history museum in the 25,600-square-mile area of the Kenai Peninsula. It focuses on the rich natural environment and history of human experience in and around Alaska's Kachemak Bay region.

The survey takes just a few minutes to complete and can be found here. The deadline for submissions is Dec. 16 and, as a "thank you" for participating, all adult respondents are eligible to participate in an Amazon Gift Card sweepstakes worth up to $100.
