Airlines boost summer flights

According to the Anchorage Daily News, an unexpected boost planned for the number of flights to Alaska next summer will bring increased competition and may reduce prices for tickets to select cites down south. Continental, United and US Airways all plan to add daily, non-stop service from Anchorage to Portland, Chicago, San Francisco and Philadelphia. Fairbanks is also expecting more non-stop flights, four or five days a week, to Denver and Salt Lake City. Read a whole lot more, here.
