Alaska beer makes Minnesota foray

After announcing in March that their beers would be making their first regular appearances east of the Rocky Mountains, Alaska Brewing Co. announced Monday that they have begun selling their well-known --in Alaska, anyway -- brand in Minnesota. To commemorate the event, Alaskan Brewing employees, including founders Marcy and Geoff Larson, have descended on the Land of 10,000 Lakes for a blitz of brew tastings and debuts around the Twin Cities area of Minneapolis and St. Paul. The events begin Monday and carry all the way through to Minnesota Craft Beer Week, which starts May 12.
