Kikkan Randall has won her second straight World Cup sprint in Europe, about one week after coming in first in an event in Düsseldorf, according to FIS Cross Country.
It marks the fifth World Cup event win overall for Randall, who currently leads the sprint World Cup standings. She completed the 1.5-kilometer course in a time of 3 minutes, 2.4 seconds.
According to the report, it was a bit of a dominant performance from three-time Olympian Randall. From FIS Cross Country:
In the final Randall was controlling the race. In the second lap she took over the initiative and put on a huge gap on the top of the hill. Randall came unchallenged to the finishing straight and celebrated second sprint victory in a row.
