According to the Associated Press (via the Anchorage Daily News), the Crowley escort tug that ran aground on Prince William Sound's Bligh Reef last week, spilling an estimated 33,500 gallons of diesel fuel from two ruptured tanks, was towed back to port early Sun. (12/27) morning. At the time of the AP report, officials were conducting inspections in preparation to offload the remaining fuel in seven of the tug's eight undamaged fuel tanks.
