Cook Inlet gas scarcer, worry abundant

According to the Petroleum News, lawmakers are worried about the effect that dwindling supplies of natural gas will have on power generation, and are taking steps at the local, state, and federal levels to see what can be done. The Peninsula Clarion also has a piece on the worries in Kenai, where people are hoping the vetoed federal energy assistance money, which we know now the legislature voted to accept, can help. Indeed, perhaps it might, but even a hefty chunk of the $28 million energy assistance won't put any fresh gas in the ground.
