Dan Rather tackles Pebble Mine in 'Red Gold'

Dan Rather brings his award-winning weekly news program to Alaska this week to tackle the controversial Pebble Mine proposal in the headwaters of Bristol Bay.

The Pebble program is called "Red Gold" and will air on "Dan Rather Reports" Tuesday at 4 p.m. AKST on ASX-TV (formerly HDNet), broadcast on GCI channel 629.

Rather will anchor a live broadcast of the program from King Salmon.

The broadcast will include interviews with locals in the King Salmon area, as well as Alaska Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell, Pebble Partnership CEO John Shively, author Bob Reiss and Chef Rick Moonen.
