Daylight saving under threat

According to a report filed before the weekend by Alaska Dispatch's own Rena Delbridge, the State House and various Senate committees have approved a bill that would allow Alaska to opt out of the yearly clock-tampering known as Daylight Savings Time. The bill (HB 19), still faces approval by other parts of the legislature during the next session. If the full legislature passes it, it will go into effect on Jan. 1, 2011. Read more here. Alaska Beat wonders ... is there anyone in Alaska who actually looks forward to Daylight Savings Time?
