A game of 'who's filming in Alaska?'

Sightings of an unidentified television production crew flared up in Alaska's capitol city earlier this month, causing 'who could it be' rumors.

According to KTOO News, the crew's TV production spokesperson, Jennifer Thompson, of Thompson and Co. in Anchorage, was unwilling to disclose the identity of the film crew, saying Alaskans will have to wait and see.

Meanwhile, the State of Alaska's Division of Economic Development director Wanetta Ayers told KTOO that there aren't any productions currently shooting in Juneau that have already qualified for the state's film production tax credit.

So the mystery remains, what show could the film crew, seen setting up equipment on Thursday around Tracy's Crab Shack on the waterfront, be working for?

There are plenty of unconfirmed reports of stars wandering Juneau, but one informed source is City and Borough of Juneau Harbormaster Dwight Tajon. Tajon's inside knowledge confirms the crew was doing something with food (and no, it's not Andrew Zimmern, although he's recently been seen in Southeast too). What does Tajon know? Well, KTOO reports the TV crew was looking to host a cooking competition at a local high school, and Tajon has the name of the production company: The Mission Productions of Los Angeles, CA.

Mission's most popular show, Top Chef, just so happens to be in production. The question remains ... in production in Juneau? Stay tuned ...
