Homer tidal power study rejected, but expanded

According to KBBI-FM's Aaron Selbig (Homer, via APRN), the Alaska Energy Authority has rejected a grant application from the City of Homer for a proposed tidal power study on Kachemak Bay, but the agency liked the idea so much that it is expanding the study to cover all of Cook Inlet. It turned out that the AEA had already been considering the tidal power potential and is partnering with NOAA to create a model of tidal potential stretching over much of Cook Inlet, from south of Seldovia all the way to Anchorage.
