Kamchatka planning northern sea route hub

According to Barents Observer (Norway), Russian authorities are planning to turn the port of Petropavlovsk, in Kamchatka, into a hub to serve ship traffic crossing the Arctic sea route. Regional authorities intend to build a major international port there to serve as the eastern anchor of the sea route from Europe and Russia to Asia and beyond. Read a bit more, here.
